Fraternities as they exist now are facing a crisis. Only 11% of students come to our campus interested in joining a fraternity. This declining interest has coincided with the fact that members of fraternities are far more likely to drink in excess than the average student. Because our SigEp chapter has a substance-free policy, we will recruit better candidates and have stronger manpower than other fraternities chapters that are regrettably still beholden to illegal and dangerous drinking. SigEp is modeling a new way and new future for other fraternities to follow.

Sig Ep has greater “manpower” because they have no pledges. You’re a member as soon as you join, like the Boy Scouts. They’re not really a fraternity the way we think about it at Arkansas.

no. SigEp has the balanced men program that is literally killing itself. Their internationals would rather see it's chapters dissolve than stay in greek life. Just check out reddit posts about SigEp. Members not being initiated till they're graduating, and chapters being kicked off campus for normal greek life activities that literally every other fraternity gets away with is NF.

So just clicked on this section. Don’t think this is rank order at all! the numbers are all over the place. I like many guys in some of these frats but some not: We attended some fun functions with a few frats this year. One with sigma pi and a few with sigma nu. Great time we had. Hope they have more functions and parties soon.

Not sure why Theta Chi get treated like they do. They are solid guys and have more heart than some other houses here. Oh well.

SigEp stands out as a forward-thinking fraternity in all issues, including gender. SigEp has traditionally treated gender as binary, when we live in a world with increasing awareness that gender is not always binary. SigEp’s membership is currently restricted those persons who identify as male, but there is limited space in Greek communities across the country for non-binary individuals to engage.

SigEp is leading the way towards the future of Greek organizations in the United States as gender inclusive organizations. SigEp is convening a task force to explore removing any screening of gender from its membership criteria and this will also expand SigEp’s recruitment pool.

Well I see these rankings are all jumbled up. It really doesn’t matter to us on campus. We like many of these frats but sigma pi we think should be up there too. Yes they are smaller but growing and have some super fun parties. Farmhouse I honestly never been there and never really heard of anything they do. Sae have some serious problems and need to treat girls with more respect.
