truth about kappa

i’m a not a tri delt. i believe that i would have been invited back because i was rushed by two girls from my hometown and one of them told who told her mom which told my mom she was sad i wasn’t on the pref list. plus an alum called my mom asking what happened. not only that but based simply on my social media activity i know i was atleast being considered. i can’t imagine their rush chair and huge amounts of kappas follow every single pnm. i am from texas and know they often rush girls from my hometown. i personally did have an open mind and simply liked other houses better based off of the personality of the girls who rushed me. at the beginning of recruitment i thought i would take kappa to pref. i was underwhelmed which is the best way i can describe it. two other houses i simply likes better because of the girls. ofcourse no kappa will believe that which actually proves my entire point of coming on here to post for the first time ever. and sorry but if i paid that much dues and had their bid day i would want my money back.

Not true! People down vote for other houses bc they are tired of the bashing. Also, most people have friends in these houses. So- not true!

Oh my gosh. Give it UP already. I’m not even in a sorority (upcoming PNM) and I’m tired of all the DDD bashing.
Truth is all I’ve read on here is bad thing s about Kappa and all I’ve heard from friends on campus goes along with what this person said.
You are obviously a Kappa and your comment just solidifies the mean girl attitude your sorority is known for. Good job!

Kappas are notorious for responding to “hate” (really just criticism and calling them out) to “someone got cut” or “you didn’t cut us we cut you” or something along the lines. Like did y’all ever READ what people just said??? You proved our point!!!!!!

I am 100% NOT a Kappa. I’m just tired of seeing my friends bashed on here, ChiO and PiPhi too. Just stop. Great girls in all houses. I’m not sure I’d count you among them.

As much as I agree that I'd like to see all the bashing of other houses stop, I think everyone else on here is tired of seeing tri delt flood the threads and likes/dislikes.

Why does everyone always think it’s a Tri Delt? No where was Tri Delt even mentioned in the post?

Everyone on here knows its tridelt because they make it so ridiculously obvious. Constantly randomly going after top houses to make themselves look good and when anyone says tri delt is a mid house that comment gets 73 dislikes immediately. Real top houses don't go after other top houses.

No one responded anything about sorry you got cut? You’re the ones directing hate toward kappa and they’re not even responding back? I’m not even a kappa but I have kappa friends and have to say they’re the ones taking the high road here. Tri delt hate toward kappa doesn’t make kappa look bad it makes tri delt look bad.

Nope! I’m sure the same person that wrote this post is also the same person bashing Tri Delt. They always say something mean about a house then immediately start bashing Tri Delt. Give it up!

I think it’s one person doing this over and over again. Once they write the post they reply to their own post with something negative and bump it again! It’s their way of getting to bash two houses at once!

That’s actually an interesting point and possibility. But it doesn’t explain the crazy over the top likes for stuff good about ddd or the over the top dislikes when anyone says ddd is mid?

^ to @she’s back. i am sure you are tired of seeing the kappa bashing. there probably are some nice kappas but the truth is i came on here because of a bad experience with a couple this past weekend and from seeing and hearing some things from my dorm about them. there is a reason why they are not liked. i have never wrote or even liked any of the other post “bashing” kappa and people can choose to believe that or not. i love the chi o’s and pi phis i have met. sorry kappa has been bashed repeatedly. how about you tell your friends to tell their chapter to do better.

But you had a bad experience with "a couple" of kappas over the weekend? And also you've heard some stuff? How about you do better by not stereotyping a group of 500 people due to the actions of two?

^ I think her point was where is the attitude coming from? Agree she shouldn’t base it on if they are cute or not. I have a couple of friends that are kappas.They do think everyone who isn’t a kappa must have been cut from kappa which is 100 percent not true and can be annoying. As long as we stay off the topic of rush or anything competitive with our houses we are good and they can be really sweet. I just agree there is a stereotype about them for a reason. Most people hear of this before recruitment but then to see it’s actually correct about a lot of them can be surprising. Every house has stereotypes though and not always good ones.

Looks is only one of the things houses look for as well as personality, involvement, grades ect…
Kappas in general just have these judgemental, rude, elitist attitudes and that is why they are not liked. One on one I think they can be great. When it comes to them being in groups of other kappas it’s like they change or something. Atleast that has been my experience with the ones I know. I think for me it’s the assuming that everyone wishes they were a kappa that bugs me the most. Most girls I know truly do not wish they were kappas but you will never convince a kappa of that.

Kappas have the worst attitude in my opinion. I just pledged another house and also believe I could have pledged kappa but I ranked them low after philanthropy. I know a couple of girls from my hometown they were rushing me. The girls I know also believe everyone wants to be a kappa and it just frustrates me so bad that I feel like they look down on me!
