Bid promising? I’m scared

I have fallen in love with a house I didn’t think I would. They (whoever I spoke to) promised me a bid and even wrote me a letter! I’m scared I won’t get it! I’ve had an open mind since day one but they’ve blown me out of the water! they told me they’d do whatever to get me in and I’m just so scared it won’t happen!

And this is why bid promising isn’t allowed. The process isn’t that simple when it comes down to it

If you don’t get that house tomorrow try to be happy and at least give it a chance

Hate when active do this. It happens every year, especially during pref. The truth is, no one girl can get a pnm a bid, unless that girl is on exec. Most of the time, the girl genuinely wants you to be in their chapter, but it doesn’t always work out.

Sometimes a letter is just part of their pref. Don’t read to much into it. They are happy with every pnm at pref. Sometimes the numbers just don’t work out

Personalized letters are extremely common during pref, as are emotional "we love you" conversations. It's only bid promising if they use very specific words/phrases.
