Real advice from last pnm
by: PastpnmAs a past pnm, I feel it is my duty to save you incoming pnms from so heartbreak and an unenjoyable rushing experience. All of this top house stuff is dumb and you truly should come in with an open mind. If you have zero connections, you will most likely be cut from those “top houses” (chi o, kappa, and pi phi) before you even step into their house. They’ll fool you, you’ll have a great convo with the girls, some may even make a promise of seeing you the next round (cough cough chi o) and you will be cut when you get your list of houses back. Don’t let this ruin your experience, top houses are literally all about connections and not accepting of others. If you’re really tripped up in this “top house” mentality, your best chance is zeta or tridelt. But the best advice is to go in super open minded and not listen to the tiers of houses, and figure out which girls you jive with most. Every single house has girls who will be just like you and you will be able to meet your best friends that way!

This post is clearly written by someone is one of those three “top” houses. Tri delt cuts as many girls first night as pi phi. This is someone in one of those houses again trying to state they are the only top houses. If not, they would have simply said the top houses and not felt the need to separate themselves like that. It seems like the only insecure houses on this site are the top houses!

Sorry that having girls be nice to you and welcoming you and being interested in you was a horrible rush experience for you. What is the alternative, be rude and say 'we already know we're dropping you haha let's just pretend this matters'??? No, this is just good rushing. It is every sorority's job to make the pnm's feel wanted. I guess we could drop RFM and go back to way it used to be, and have all the huge drops right before pref after going back for three rounds where you never stood a chance. THAT is a horrible rush experience.

Isn’t this why so many were upset with Kappa last year? That they were rude? But, it’s also bad if they are too nice?
In house girls and PNMs can and should all be friendly and kind to each other whether it’s a match or not. We are all adults.
