gpa and chances
by: pnmplease help im freaking out , i have 3.2 gpa basically and i’m so scared i won’t get any houses. are my grades that bad ?

ALSO!! one of my friends got into zeta with a 3.35 but it was a rare case because she had some actives pulling for her

Hmm honestly I don’t know if houses take weighted gpa into account. Those decisions are usually left up to the recruitment team. unweighted gpa is looked at more because every high school weights advanced classes differently. I think that sucks because it’s not that hard to get a 4.0 if you take regular classes at a public high school. But it’s very difficult to even get a 3.5 when you take advanced classes.

Do the sororities use the GPA that uark uses for admissions and scholarships? “ only weights AP, IB, and clearly indicated concurrent/dual enrollment courses with one extra grade point”
my unweighted is a 3.5 but I’m OOS and got the 90% NRTA, which means I have at least a 3.8 according to admissions.

okay good. my hs had a weird scale so a 99 average is a 3.9, 98 is a 3.8, and so on to make class rank easier. I had a 95 average so a 4.0 on a typical scale but a 3.5 at my hs.

Houses are missing out on some great girls bc of grades! They should be able to go through rush if their grades are good enough to to get into college!!!
