connections for recruitment

How important is having connections for fraternity rush? Can you just show up to rush without any and have a decent chance?

Reach via Instagram if you have too and ask a couple of questions ect… recruitment for frats begin in the summer and boys are already being invited to functions to meet the guys ect… It is very different than sorority recruitment. If your someone who is extremely personable with good looks ect…. You may be able to connect that week and have a decent rush but it is at the very least more difficult.
