PNM need questions answered

Plenty of pnm’s have connections going through recruitment. Family members, friends from high school, dance teams, church camp ect…. There are girls who make connections with the help of their mom or an alum. Then there are the girls who reached out on insta and did their best to make connections when they chose uark from out of state. That has worked for quite a few girls. These pnm’s have a better shot with an average resume than the girl with the amazing resume. This year with the record breaking amount of pnm’s the over the top amazing resume girls will have a better chance at more options once all the girls with connections get placed on the sororities list. They have loosened up the no contact rule after spring break significantly the past couple of years. Having followers from houses at this point means they were either contacted by an alum to please take a look at you or someone saw your packet and decided to give you a follow. Unless you had like 25 plus girls follow you from one house in the span of 24 hours, I would not read too much into it.

They know who they want because they either went to high school with them or a PNM might have an older sister that’s already a member and still goes to school there.

Or the mother, grandmother, aunts…are all legacies, and alums tell the chapter to take these certain girls.

The houses who know who they want already know the girls through connections. Most typically if that pmn went to the same school, camp, church, or is a family member of someone living in house. It is very rare for a house to choose a girl at random or just based off their resume. They want someone to vouch for their character so if you don’t know anyone in the house it puts you at a huge disadvantage. As a pnm you are allowed to reach out to girls and ask questions, and I recommend you do so!! This will just get your name out there and will help during rush.
