For the 2200 pnm’s in 2022!!

Now that I have been through recruitment and on campus here is what I have learned.
During recruitment Zeta was the most talked about top house. I believe the reason is the girls with close connections to other top houses kept that info to themselves knowing how it works and the rest focused on zeta hoping to have a chance. I know a couple of cute girls that got zeta with no connections. Overall my favorite of the top houses and well liked on campus.
It is true the real recruitment begins with the mid houses and without any connections I focused on these. MAJOR competition between KD and Tri Delt. I will add an unpopular opinion and say Phi Mu is very close to their level. I had KD and Phi Mu on pref and chose KD. Love love my house but also loved the girl who rushed me from Phi Mu and she was sad but super sweet to me on bid day. The alphas are all super similar and great houses! Dg has some great girls it’s unfortunate we have no new houses to bump them up. I don’t think kappas are well liked especially with pledge class 2021. I even know a kappa not happy in her house. If that’s your vibe then go for it. If your lucky enough for chi o to take you to pref then hopefully you will have a tight connection to secure the bid if that’s who you want. Chi o is the most diverse and has no vibe in my opinion. Pi phi is a great house but the girls I know are quiet and just blend in.
If you want a great Greek life experience then get involved and attend as many functions as you can. If you don’t with these large pledge classes you will feel very lost. I did first semester. I made a choice to get involved second semester and it changed everything! Good luck!

The last few sentences are very true. With pledge classes of this size it is going to be difficult to find your place within your house. The best way to do this is to do EVERY thing that’s offered. I mean, every optional meeting, every function, every big/little date plus extras if you’re allowed, every sisterhood event, every philanthropy event. If someone invites you or says they want to go, offer to go with them and follow through! Don’t be that person that constantly backs out. This is when the groups form and I promise you don’t want to spend the next 4 years watching everyone become best friends while you’re feeling left out because you never came to anything freshman year. And I know you LOVE your roommate but please try to invite and go with your new sisters to events, I made that mistake and loved my roommate but ended up with few friends actually in my chapter freshman year!
