How confidential are gamma chis?
by: PNMi’ve heard a lot about gamma chis not being confidential like they’re supposed to be and telling actives how PNMs have ranked the chapters and what we said about them. as to not jeopardize my recruitment, would it be possible to not share how i ranked them with my gamma chi or does she have to know?

Trust your gamma chi! They made a choice to disaffiliate from their house to help you find yours. Yes, it happens but it’s by a very few.
Regardless, there’s nothing to gain by repeating things pnms have said. By that point, what’s done is done and rankings/cuts have already happened.

Gamma chi’s go through an extensive application and interview process, give up their whole summers, social media, and more to help with Panhellenic recruitment. I cannot imagine that someone would make all those sacrifices to try to help their own sorority get “inside information.” Your gamma chi is doing it all to help YOU find the right chapter, so you can and should trust her and confide in her. She will be the one submitting your rankings during each round, so either way, she will know. Gamma Chi’s are awesome girls, and chapters are proud to bring them home on bid day when they reaffiliate!
