Getting into a “top” house without connections?

was wondering if any of y’all have gotten into one of the top four without a connection?
btw I am 100% open minded and am not necessarily seeking a top house but just curious on the probability. thanks!

I disagree with this year being the year some PNMs with no connections get a bid to top houses. Most PNMs (without connections) will be cut first round from the top houses, before ever getting to meet them face to face.

Pi phi is pretty resume based so your video and resume can be getting noticed! Don’t count them out. Alums can make connections for you as well.

i bet you met her night one. it will be more difficult this year to make that connection with no round one

Got chi o with zero connections and not a legacy. Honestly I think it’s if you’re paired to talk with people who have a strong presence and voice in the house and and absolutely fall in love with you. Even then it’s just super lucky. I kept my mind completely open during rush and didn’t have any expectations and was just myself!

2022 will be the year many pnm’s get into a top house with no connections. With that many pnm’s I am sure a fair amount does not have a close top house connection. I would say it will be resume based but after being on the other side I really believe it will be the girls that simply really click with who they get paired with. Good luck girls and ofcourse all houses are good! But having a full schedule everyday or close to it is really nice!
