i am in a top house and from my experience on both sides of recruitment the top houses are simply a matter of pnm preference AND most important where you have a connection. most likely your not going to have a close connection in kappa then have both kappa and pi phi on pref and choose pi phi.
if you do have two top houses then be doing your research now! ask people on campus that may know you where they think you will feel more at home. read some of the descriptions on here ( not necessarily the ranks because like I said the top four to me is all a matter preference) and if you consistently read the same thing about a house over and over again through different post than most likely it is atleast close to being true!

For sure both pi phi and zeta are very well liked on campus especially compared to chi o and kappa but both chi o and kappa have their list of girls they recruit and usually get atleast 95 percent of them. Kappa did drop last year but could have been a fluke.

I think Tri Delt and KD are more respected and liked on campus than kappa. Will be interesting to see what happens this year.
