Chances of being dropped?
by: LillyWhat’s the probably of being dropped by all houses? I’m coming into rush week with an open mind (no house preference) but the thought of being dropped by every house terrifies me!

You will NOT get dropped, however the drop rate Panhellenic gives every year is only true in some sense, most people who leave recruitment do it on their own terms before bid day, sadly a lot of the times because they think they are too good for their remaining houses.

The only girls who were cut by all houses were either grade risks or acted too good to be in a house. As long as you are friendly and genuinely interested in talking to members in all houses, you should be fine.
The reason most of the pmns who don't get a house is because they removed themselves from recruitment after being released from certain houses.

So as long as pnm is open to the house that chooses her, she should get a bid? I think I read 94% of PNMs get bids. So is it reasonable to say 6% drop themselves?
I’m really nervous about this. Has anyone ever not got a bid, even if the pnm is friendly and open to whatever sorority?

You wont get dropped from a house like everyone says above. Dont:
Have an attitude
Be Rude
Have TERRIBLE grades
but Rush is also a numbers game. If you keep dropping the houses that want to bring you back, you might end up with less options towards the end.
Houses dont know if you drop them, but if you get invited back, go in with a good attitude. If they still say yes over and over, you can just NOT ask for a bid from them?? (maybe even suicide bid, but I dont recommend). Go in and be nice. I cannot tell you how exhausted I was when girls were just rude. If they said to me they werent interested, Id say "okay, I'll make note of that, can we atleast have a good conversation for the next 15 minutes?"
It doesnt kill you to be nice. And HOUSES talk. If you're rude asf to us, we will tell our friends. If you skip a party, Greek life gets notified and you will be dropped.
Be a good participant and have fun. Youre only a PNM once. (mostly)

It is true PNMs, so take warning. Girls room together in apartments and townhouses that are in different sororities. Just because you are in a sorority you love doesn’t mean you hate the girls in other sororities. Quite the opposite. ZTAs live with Pi Phi’s. Chi Os live with AXOs. If you think they don’t talk after each party about who is rude, you are dead wrong.

Not true. No house will waste their time with someone who makes it obvious they don’t want to be there. They might give a pnm a second (or even third) chance but no one wants to waste a bid and will make that cut.
