Retention rates of sororities
by: ContinueI keep reading how girls drop their sororities after their first year. Is this more common in some sororities than others? Is there a way to see what the individual sorority retention rates are? Is that something a PNM can ask at recruitment or is that not good to ask?

There are many reasons why girls drop. Sometimes it's financial, or family issues, medical issues, academics, some girls are struggling with adjusting to college life in general, sometimes they find sorority life disappointing, or they were only in it for some very wrong reasons. The reasons for drops are not publicized because they are all private and personal, so without any context the number of drops doesn't matter. AND NO, DO NOT ASK THIS IN RECRUITMENT!

do some of the 11 houses have a higher drop out rate?
It’s difficult to read the info on Greek Rank and keep reading mean stuff about each sorority and things about dropping after bid. Difficult to tell what’s really going on or if it’s just mean girls playing on Greek Rank.
Is there another site that helps get a feel for the houses that doesn’t have the meanness?

Instagram. check out the girls, the things the house does, events, etc. yes, everyone is putting their best foot forward there but you can still get a feel for the vibes.

no you shouldn’t ask. do you think a house with a drop out rate during recruitment will tell you? regardless of what you may read on here girls drop out of all houses. financial is the top reason
