IF PNM’s ONLY KNEW
by: GinaIf pnm’s only knew what we all know by second semester they would not be so upset when cut by chi o or kappa. What we all know is it simply means you knew a girl in that house! That’s it. You knew a girl. There is nothing that stands out by chi o or kappa. Chi o is a huge mix of random girls that knew someone or their moms did. They don’t even have anything common except maybe knowing each other in high school. Kappa does have wealthier girls because they recruit from their wealthier hometowns. Along with this they do have a judgemental vibe and in general are not very nice. So if you care to be in a house full of snobby mean girls go for it. Neither house is liked on campus. No need to envy any girl that doesn’t get cut by them. It simply means they knew someone. Period. Maybe one could throw pi phi or zeta in this category but the difference is they are actually sweet, well liked and aren’t snobs. I also think there are a few girls that can get into these houses without connections. Pi phi isn’t letting traci’s connection in with 3.37 gpa that’s for sure! Tri Delt/ KD is where the REAL recruitment begins. Those two houses along with the rest actually pick girls THEY all like and feel like will fit in versus just picking their sorority sisters friends from back home because they were told to.

This is so true! I know girls happy at chi o and girls sad they didn’t find their people. I also know happy at kappa ( and they are both ultra wealthy so they don’t have to worry about judgy girls in house because they are one of them) and I know someone who thinks she couldn’t have picked a worse house because she isn’t one of those types and feels like she is always being judged. We really should have spring rush here. Things would look very different!

Chi O and Kappa come on here and act like it’s an honor and you’re special to be chosen by them. They want pnms to think they could be the exception to their predetermined lists.They don’t want to be ranked at the bottom by pnms. As long as pnms continue to rank them high during recruitment, the more “desirable” they appear. It’s manipulative to pnms just so they can remain top.

I found chi o was just “ok” and didn’t like kappa at all. It is simply not true that all pnm’s want to be in one of these two houses like this site makes it seem!
