I'm extremely excited to be attending the U of A this fall! I'm most excited about sorority recruitment! I'm not a legacy to any of the houses, so does that lessen my chance to get a bid? Also, which chapters are known to have the best sisterhoods? Thanks! :)

Being a legacy actually hurts your chances as all the other houses cut you.

It true, it's very competitive and there are hundreds of legacies for each house. So if you're a legacy to another house some of the top houses will cut you. A few of the houses are more loyal to their legacies. But it's just too competitive and there are too many legacies for most of the houses to be 100% loyal. If all the houses took all of their legacies, there'd be no reason to even have recruitment.
