social anxiety rush stories??

I’m an engineer and a little socially awkward, and also not from Arkansas so I wasn’t exactly set up to thrive at recruitment. I just kind of told myself it was only a week and I’d be set. Just be open friendly and kind and don’t let the cuts get you down and you’ll be fine!

Hey girl it’s never too late to make a connection! Reach out via Instagram to actives. The spring break no contact rule no longer as applies as it did in the years before the pandemic. All pnms ( what we call girls going through recruitment) are fine as long as they utilize all their options. The girls without a bid 99 percent of the time simply quit or don’t accept a bid because they think they are “too good “ for a house which is total bs. Awesome girls in all houses here! Yes it is difficult to see a girl in your group get back 8 houses round 2 and you may have only 3. But rush isn’t over until it’s over and it only takes one house to get a bid and have a fun greek life experience in college!

I felt this way!! just be yourself, even as a recruiter we love the sweet shy ones… try to have a few things planned to say if it goes quiet so you feel better!! Like questions!!! I promise it’s better in real life!!
