by: ListenWe can’t wait to meet all of you and are so excited you chose to go to our school and become a part of Greek life! Recruitment is difficult here to say the least. Please do all you can to give yourself as many options as possible! Reach out to actives on insta ( if you can find current freshman that’s even better) and introduce yourself! Ask any questions you have! If they don’t respond no worries! Some will and it will only help you in the long run! Clean up your social media. Have your mom help you with friends that may know others with daughters in a house here! Be positive, pro active, and be ready to have the best four years of your life😋

This comment is true. It’s better to ask around and find out a vibe a house has to see if you might be a good fit. My take on houses and their vibe.
Dg- hard working ( they are passionate about putting their house on the map and good for them!)
Adpi - happy girl vibe Just there for a good time and they don’t take themselves too seriously
Pi phi - CLASSY One word says it all :)
Phi mu - bitter. Resentful they aren’t in a top house and truly believe they deserve to be. Some get over bid day and end up loving their house:)
Kappa - wealthy. Wealthy and a little judgey is their vibe
Zeta - charming. Personality plus. Happy to be zetas and have friends in every house
Chi o - cliquey. I personally know a few unhappy chi omegas because they were not able to break into one of the many cliques The ones that have a clique and very proud to be a chi o.
Tri delt - geeky. In a good way! Smart unique girls!!
Axo , KD , and aopi are super difficult for me! Anyone else know of a good way to describe their vibe?:)

Totally agree but there are things they can do to optimize their choices. A pnm that knows no one and not a single Greek member has heard their name has a difficult time during recruitment. No one likes to be cut from most houses round one and two. So I agree with the original poster to not just sit back and listen to the whole you will end up where your meant to be, trust the process and all that absolute garbage. There are things that can be done to increase your chances of being able explore more houses before recruitment even begins!
