Opinions for high schoolers

I remember when I was a senior in HS an older friend gave me her personal rank of the chapters here, which I carried as factual throughout most of recruitment, especially after discovering this website. However, during recruitment I was so surprised by which houses I liked and which ones I didn’t, especially knowing what Greek rank’s opinions were. I was also equally surprised to find out that the chapter picks you and you actually have very little say in which chapter you become a member of, except for your final ranking on pref. As a senior now, I realize just how much it matters who you know here and who you talk to during recruitment. Some houses know how to market to you. Some houses know they don’t want to waste their best recruiter on you. Recruitment is a big game and honestly has very little to do with you as a person, your values and personality and morals, and more to do with appearances and numbers.
