Things that apparently can put you higher up in the ranks in order of what seems to be the strongest influencer:

DON'T BE NEW: This is dumb but just how it is
Either being founded here (i.e. XO) or establishing your chapter sooner than other people (i.e. KKG, PiPhi, ZTA, DDD) helps dramatically.

GOOD NATIONAL REP
Having a better national rep and popularity, especially in the South can have a positive effective. For example: Kappa, PiPhi and XO do have strong reps nationally, even in the South. Phi Mu and Zeta are also very big in the South.

GET CONSISTENTLY BETTER PCS
- Having top 3/4 highest GPA consistently (i.e. PiPhi, KD, Tridelt, XO)
- Having a lot of pretty members (yall can deny this all the way home but we all know appearance does add to it for various reasons)
- There's some influencers in some of the mid and top houses, members who won special awards or titles (e.g. pageant winners and honours students etc usually end up at upper mid and top tier houses, I heard one chapter had a girl that founded her own charity) or having connections to incredible people etc (e.g. Kappa have a famous TV chefs daughter) // BASICALLY HAVE MEMBERS WITH GREAT RESUMES

BE KIND AND INVOLVED
Having a great sisterhood/nice sweet members reputation/do a lot of fun things together and aren't just cliquey but get involved with other chapters etc. That's how AXO rose.

Meanwhile, AOII rose because they started being way more visible and active on campus. A strong campus presence can honestly make you - chapters that win events, actually show up to events including frat parties, are supportive of other orgs too, literally just visible on campus too tend to become increasingly popular with pnms.
