Historical Rank Through the Years

by:

Anyone who has lived in Arkansas and has family that has gone to the UofA through the years know the there is a Top 3 Hierarchy that will never change. Kappa, Pi Phi, and Chi O has been and always will be known as the “Top” houses - and they rise and fall amongst each other through the years depending on specific pledge classes. These are the 3 houses on campus with the legacy, tradition, and big money that poors into their chapters. These have held top 3 status since the 1950s and anyone who’s family was born and raised in Arkansas whose parents went here knows this. Tri Delt has always historically been #4, then Zeta. New people and out if staters can come on there and dispute and try to bring Zeta and Tri Delt into the Top 3 mix but everyone in the know knows. These 3 houses have extremely deep and rich traditions with alums who will shell out the money to ensure their houses have what they need and that will never change. There are amazing girls in every house but you can create tradition and history.

The poster sounds so out of touch with reality it’s insane...I mean come on talking about alumni shelling out money? Girls aren’t interested in that kind of attitude anymore. It’s embarrassing

So is it Tri Delt that’s so triggered by this post?? Or Zeta?

I am in a lower mid house and this post irritated the F out of me. Why is someone that is supposedly top tier so INSECURE they have to come on here with their historical BS about why THEY are top tier. Obviously written by a Pi Phi and they need to sit that little newbie down and tell her to cool it.

The funny thing is, kappa at Arkansas was founded 20 years after Zeta. And after tri delt. So all your bs about “yrs of tradition” you don’t even know what you’re talking about. But who even cares, this is either a crazy alumn or an insecure girl who’s entire personality depends on her tier.

If you want to keep track of "history and tradition," ZTA wasn't always good. They closed in 1938 and came back in 1947.

Top tier bc they have the best of what!? Little Rock. Oh joy!!

Plenty of amazing girls in each house that didn’t know anyone but were everything and then some at their Texas or Missouri high school. And they run circles around what might be top rushee material for your “3 best,” but bc they aren’t from Arkansas they are considered “less than?” Get over yourself.

This is probably true. I’m from KC and assumed Tri Delt was top bc of their house being the biggest. Most girls in Reid checked top 3 first then went from there. But everyone finds their place so let’s have some Pan Love

You lived under a rock in KC if you thought Tri delt was top tier. After this recruitment they aren’t even close. And for the record Kappa has the biggest house not Tri delt.

Why do y’all care?? So someone is in a different sorority than you or someone thinks theirs is better than yours? Do y’all know what is happening in the world right now??? Who cares about sororities rank and all this “anonymous” crap.

Are the 27 thumbs down from tridelt and zeta or something? I’ve never seen a more accurate post on here. History is history. I grew up knowing this and now I’m in a different sorority and still believe this. It’s retarded how people think the top tier sororities are the best to be in. Because the history is so real they don’t recruit girls based on personality. Just their name.

First of all I am pretty sure the thumbs down is not for the “historical “ post ( which has some inaccuracies) but more for the fact that a Pi Phi ( prob an alum) had to come on here and make up a post about. Second of all just because you “ grew up knowing this” does not mean ALL the out of state girls knew this. I for one did not and pledged a house that I love that routinely gets negative comments on here. And lastly it’s 2021, pretty sure you shouldn’t use the word retard.

There is way more money from the Out of State kids ...Arkansas is a poor, redneck state, made up of tiny, small towns. People from Arkansas should not act superior. It is the out of state students who have majorly boosted the Greek system at the U of A. Just saying.

I see no lies. UT and A&M are so competitive for admissions that even having a 98 gpa and top SAT won’t get you in so we have to consider other schools. Arkansas is an amazing option but the superiority trend with the “top 3” is so overblown. They aren’t prettier or richer or nicer or more active. They knew someone from their podunk Arkansas high school. That. Is. It.

Spoken like a true out of stater. You have no idea how wrong you are - or how much money is in this state. The out of staters have been the worst thing to happen to Greek life - pledge classes over 160??? Thanks Texas. Ever heard of the Waltons? The Tysons? The Dillards? And those are just retailers. Get a clue.

Ugh here we go again…if the “top” 3 feel they need to keep reminding everyone, that says something!!!
