“Snap bids” are given out during the matching process, not after bids are extended - COB is the option available to you now…

Last year roommate got a snapbid after bid day. There must be a different formula than you are thinking of

Your roommate got a COB, not a snap. If that house still didn't reach quota on bid day then they were ready with that COB and knew who they wanted. Good for her.
