Perspective for new members

Dropping in as someone a few years removed, because I remember reading this website when I was going through rush, and this all needs to be understood:

1. They say “trust the process” because every house has 400 girls in it. That means there are every kind of girl in every house and you will do the same exact things in every house. Meaning if you branch out and are nice to people, you can find your people, no matter what house you’re in.

2. No one gives a crap what house or “rank” of house you’re in. Boys. Don’t. Care. Period. Also if you’re nice to people in your classes, at church, in your dorm, you will have friends in every house.

3. Everything in life: sorority, jobs, relationship is about connections AND hard work. Not one without the other. That also means the house you wanted that cut you was not personal, and the house you ended up in has girls that are just as great as the girls in that “top” house you wanted because they too just didn’t know people.

4. For all these reasons, your worth is not in what house you got, but in what you do next, how you treat people, how you use this opportunity you’ve been given, and above all because you were made in the image of a God who loves you
