You will be ranked. So let’s say quota is 170. You will be given a number between 1 and and however many they invited back to pref. (based on a lot of factors.) If this is your only house you will get a bid period. If you have another house that you put second and your first choice fills it’s its pledge before they get to your number than you will get your second choice. If your at the bottom of both houses , you will still get a bid and that’s where the formula can get really confusing. To be honest it 99 percent of the time it will go by ranks. So let’s say you have chi o and KD. Your at the bottom of the list for both. You will end up with KD. So technically no. There will be no “cutting”. Just ranking. Hope that helps !
