Advice for girls who got dropped by their top house
by: PNMPref round is finally here and I personally got dropped from my top house. I had genuine conversations there, super funny girls I could be myself and make jokes with, and I loved their philanthropy. I really thought I had connected with every girl I talked to and am so confused to why I was dropped. Any advice?

If you made it that far they liked you and some of them wanted you. But it’s a numbers game and it’s a chapter decision so you just didn’t make the cut off. I guarantee there are girls in that house today who are upset you were not ranked high enough for their cut off. You didn’t do a thing wrong.

Not what you want to hear but please don’t take it personally. The releases are very much out of the actives hands. You are rated on a point scale, initially based on your resume/gpa and then on your convos throughout the week. You could’ve been .2 of a point away from not being on the release list.
I have no doubt the sorority women genuinely enjoyed the convos with you if you felt like you connected so well. They might be bummed you didn’t make the list too. Recruitment sucks, isn’t fair, etc. but please don’t take things personally. It’s all a numbers game unfortunately.

I am in a top house and am devastated my girl didn’t make the cut off. To be honest it’s difficult to not be upset with your chapter but like the person above said it really is a numbers game and there are so many things that are involved with that. If you felt the convo was genuine than it truly was a genuine convo from girls that really liked you. I am so sorry! Recruitment can really suck sometimes

And no, there was not a mistake. I am so sorry. But you are going to land just fine in a house you have left and in a few weeks you won’t be looking back.
