Percentage of bids
by: AskingHow many girls that go through rush here don’t get a bid? No guesses please. And no “every girl and every house works out blahblahblah.” cuz that isn’t answer. There are real stats are out there, let’s see them.

Average placement over the last 3 years 92% to 93%.
So we know 1891 Girls registered for rush. Now that number might change for who showed up the first day of rush.
So let’s just take 1891 and worst case let’s just say 10% don’t make it because that’s easy math that’s 189 girls that don’t get placed on bid day.

If you make it to Pref and write down ALL houses that you visited that day, you are guaranteed a Bid. Many end up without one because they only write down one house when they went to two. Others who end up without a house release themselves during the week because they don't like their schedule and quit. If you stick with it, it WORKS...but you have to be willing to go forward with houses that may not be "top".

The majority of those who didn't get a bid dropped out on their own; some feel overwhelmed, some had their heart set on one or two particular houses and when those didn't show back up on their list they dropped because they weren't willing to give any other other houses a chance, some only signed up so they could move in early, some were dropped by houses because they were a grade risk or standards risk. Grades and standards risk are real but it applies to very few pnms.

UArk Panhellenic has had a 92/93/94 percent bid placement for like 5 years now. Parice proudly announces it during the Bid Day ceremony that is live streamed every year because it is a HUGE deal to have this rate. She has even said that it is the highest percentage the SEC & the country a few times on those videos.
The vast majority of those 6-8% that don't get bids are the girls that drop out or intentional single pref. Sorry that there are no hard numbers out there to prove it, so this is just a guess....I'd put it at less than 25% of the girls who are not placed with a bid are released by all 11 sororities or this year that might equal 35-40 PNMs.
And yes it sucks for them and me! I know how much it hurts because I had issues out of my control, started recruitment, got cut from a lot & couldn't finish freshman year. Waited an entire year to go through again....I grew, came back & got my top house. You can be bitter & salty or learn & grow.

If you are asking if some girls get dropped from all the houses then yes. Yes, some girls do get dropped. At 7% this year it would be 132 girls. More then half drop for reasons known only to them. So 66 girls out of 1891 this could even be a smaller number. It is rare that it happens but to me this is what COB is for those that might have fallen through cracks, not some salty pnm that thinks they are better then the rest and to good for the houses that did invite them back.
#10by: Yes
“To good” if a one gets an invite back and they decide to drop out then Yes I feel that they thank they are better then those girls. Get real over 400 girls in a chapter 150 in your pledge class. If you can’t find your tribe then you need to really look at yourself first.

Ok that is not true. Do you actually think that all of us don’t know anyone that went through rush Arkansas. Please be real because we DO know differently. A lot of my h.s. friends that went through last year that had good grades, great reputations, jocks, super cute and a few got NO bids. Then 2 got snap bids from good houses that cut them early. Besides what explanation do you have for the pnms that get cut from everyone - telling them that they are part of the “SUPER rare” is mean.
I am still waiting for stats…..
