First - Report this immediately to Panhel!!! She is not supposed to do that. Second - Go with your heart, that Gamma Chi is probably in a house that competes with the other house, so she is probably talking negatively about them because she feel threatened by them. That is so wrong in so many ways, but don't let it sway you at all. In fact it really is a compliment to that house that she feels threatened enough about them. DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU, DON'T LET ANYONE SWAY YOU!!

Be very careful, how well do you trust this friend? Since it didn't happen to you directly, and was something you got second hand, I would consider if maybe your friend has a different agenda? She may have gotten dropped by a house she wanted and is trying to save face, which happens a lot, or maybe she is trying to get you to rank them low so you won't get a spot? You only know for sure what you see and hear for yourself. Be careful and keep your opinions to yourself, and speak well of everyone. If you are dead sure about this, then definitely report to panhellenic but after rush, because not only is this about the gamma chi but the pnm who told you this will be questioned as well.
