Kappa/XO rude zoom
by: Texas PNMI have zero connections in KKG and ChiO so I already knew I had no chance getting in, and I’ve heard they already had their first round cut lists made out even before the zoom open house parties. However, that should not excuse those girls from being polite to every single PNM during their zoom meetings. Two of the kappa girls said absolutely nothing to me and they even had me log out early from the meeting. The Chi Omega girls weren’t much better either. I thought these girls were supposed to be sweet, classy Christian girls, but the reality is far different. If the other girls in those “top tier” sororities are anything like their sisters, I’m so happy that I don’t have a chance of getting in. Their behavior was disgusting. If PNM’s can be completely released from recruitment for deliberately being rude or skipping a party, then these chapters should be penalized also. Doubt that will happen however, as I’ve heard that our Greek leadership allows certain favored sororities to get away with pretty much anything. The rest of my first round “parties” went great. Even though I knew I had no shot at getting into the other “top” sororities, their girls were at least polite and pretended to be interested. I’m thrilled with the 6 I had left after round 1, and would consider it an honor to become a member of any of them.

^ me too. Kappa was so so rude to me. Chi o was indifferent. Zeta and phi phi were both very sweet. Zeta cut me though for sisterhood round:(

I just wish these chapters had consequences like we do for poor behavior. There wasn’t even anything special ( especially personality wise) for these girls to treat me like they were better than me. Trust me I will not recommend me them to any girls I know in the grade below me back home!

I did talk to my gamma chi. She just shrugged her shoulders and told me to not to let them get me down….not really anything can be done about it.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Please know that most of us actives aren’t stuck up like that, even those of us in the “top” houses. Just remember that those girls are no better than you, no matter how snooty they acted. The only reason they got in their sororities is because they had older friends that were members, not because of anything special about themselves. When you get your bud, at least you know it will be based on your own merits.
You really should report those girls and their sororities to Greek Life. Wait until after Bid Day, but please report them. This is not acceptable behavior!

I had the same experience with kappa and chi o. So obvious they didn’t care to talk to me. Kappa was so bad I put them last. Pi phi and zeta were super friendly but both still cut me so not sure what’s worse:(.
