How does cutting / dropping work?

You will speak to every house during the first round. PNMs don’t “cut” per say, you will rank each house from favorite to least. The houses will make cuts each round.

Round 2 the max you will have is 8. There is a possibility you may have a house that you ranked low. This means your top choices cut you but that house you ranked lower liked you! At this point, go in with an open mind and fresh eyes. If you don’t have 8 houses at this point, don’t get discouraged!!! Most won’t. You’ll rank again after attending these parties and houses will again make cuts.

Round 3: max of 5 houses. Again, open mind and stay positive and encouraged. Ranks and cuts again.

Pref day: you will have a max of 2. You might only have one, it’s not uncommon. After parties you’ll do your final rank. If you have 2 houses and only list one - you will not be guaranteed a bid!!!

There are many girls that will not open their card on bid day with their first choice - please run home and give the house an honest chance. They WANTED YOU!! You can and will find your people in any house!

Rush is hard. It’s full of disappointment for both pnms and actives! We will fall in love with pnms and then not see them again, it goes both ways. Stay positive and keep an open mind. Go in with a new mindset each day. The process will work. ❤️

Also, hypothetically let's say I rank my bottom three after round one and then receive my top eight for round two. I rank those to get to five. But ... Let's say I only get one or don't get any of those back for pref. Could I still receive an invitation from one of the first three I dropped?

How about COBs? How does that work?
My roommate didn’t want to go through the crazy of fall recruitment, but might be interested in a COB or spring rush.
