Are any of the top houses known for being mean to PNMs they don't want?

They will not typically be rude. Don’t get your heart set on a house just because you think the conversation went well. A ton of PNMs will be going through recruitment, they have to cut girls even if the conversation went well. Don’t take it personally, sometimes it’s that you don’t have connections, don’t have high enough grades, several other reasons.

With 1st round slated to be virtual this year & the top 4-5 houses have to release over half of the PNMs before even meeting them, it is less likely that there will be the rudeness that it sounds like concerns you.
