Grades?Legacies? Bids.
by: NewI’m a legacy of two big top houses I know that doesn’t guarantee me a bid but people say they already have their list made before going in. I’m coming from out of state and don’t know anyone at Arkansas but have many Greek connections elsewhere. Does this make a difference? Also what would y’all consider a grade risk? If I have a 3.5 would I get cut or get a good bid?

Dunno which houses you're a legacy to, but saw this on another post and I hope that helps:
Kappa- mostly arkansas
Zeta- from dallas/ kansas city
Pi phi- from kc, tx, and ark
Chi o- Most girls are from dallas and arkansas
Being a legacy as of current only gives you a leg up at Chi O. From my understanding PiPhi and Zeta have revised their legacy policies. Idk about Kappa.
If it's Tridelt (no one seems to agree if they're top or not): they're from lots of places and also revised their legacy policy too.
A 3.5 GPA is usually the cut off for most chapters, if you have a 3.6 or higher, you're set - assuming you have the resume/connections to back it.

Connections matter more than ANYTHING for a top house. Chi o/kappa. Zeta/pi phi
Legacies with a mom that graduated from UARK may help for chi o. Other than that your legacy status won’t matter much. Grades will also be very important for pi phi and being cute with an outgoing personality during recruitment will help for zeta. Kappa for real if you don’t know anyone you aren’t on their list.
