High school 2.0???

I’ll be going through recruitment in the fall. I’m from a large Dallas area high school that has many students go to U of A. I love my high school friends, but just don’t understand why girls want to be in the same sorority as their high school friends. I want to meet a wide range of people and make new friends....am tired of the same old high school cliques. Is college really not any different? Maybe a sorority is not for me.....

Yes, a few are but the rest most definitely aren’t. Trust your gut and follow your heart, not your friends. You’ll find your people!

This is only true for kappa and chi o. Zeta, pi phi, tri delt .... well actually ALL the rest this isn’t true
In fact sometimes knowing girls from
High school can actually hurt more than help in these.

Go for the mid-bottom houses, I end up the houses I had no connection with. Yet I have friends in the top 5 houses, but I didn’t tell them. I end up with a middle house instead. (I can relate I’m from the Dallas area too)

Honestly it’s up to you who you hang out with. Even if there’s a lot of girls from your high school in your chapter, there’s nearly 400 girls in each sorority so I’m sure you can find other people you like! I also made a lot of friends in my dorm and classes. Don’t worry about it!
