Chance Me please!

4.0, camp counselor for 4 years, choir officer, student teacher, solo finalist, science fair finalist, 10 ap/advanced courses, not a legacy, know a few girls in pi phi, kappa, zeta, and tri delt, nursing major, and I’m decent looking. Please be realistic so I don’t get my hopes up.
(btw I changed some of the activities so you can’t tell who I am)

Chance for what? Landing in a “top” house? Honestly that shouldn’t be your focus. Every single house here has incredible, 4.0, pretty, friendly girls. Unfortunately not every house can be considered “top”. Newer houses are doing great things on campus. Keep an open mind.

You have a chance at most houses. As far as pi phi , kappa, and zeta knowing people can help or hurt. The girls you know will either choose to pull for you or say pass. It’s that simple. As long as your not a grade risk for top houses then your resume will matter very little and your connections you will matter a whole whole lot. Tri delt is a great house and they don’t get as cut heavy the first night but just like the others if the girl (or girls ) that know you want to pull for you they will and if not you could still get cut. If your connections don’t work for you in the above mentioned houses , your resume will get you noticed in the others and you can see what house fits your vibe the best.:)

honestly a lot of girls have a very similar resume. 4.0, AP classes, not a legacy, and just about everyone in Greek life worked at church camp. Not to be mean but nothing stands out about you anymore than another girl, especially if you’re not a legacy. Shot in the dark where you’ll end up

You don’t know me. The girls I know believe and can affirm that I am a smart, kind, and loving person. All I did was defend myself from a rude comment that put words in my mouth.

Ok I don’t agree with what the pnm said but calling someone a narcissist when they respond to a genuinely hateful comment in a decent way when you don’t even know them is unacceptable. Having enough confidence to say that you’re a kind person is not narcissistic. As a psychology major, narcissism is a serious issue that shouldn’t be used as a insult. It’s extremely harmful to people who have actually been hurt by narcissism. As someone who is older and (I assume) has been through recruitment, you should be more respectful.

If you don’t know a lot of girls in kappa or chi o, or enough girls that will definitely have your back then kappa and chi o will cut you. Pi phi is a maybe you have a chance but have to have a really good resume. Zeta you have a chance as long as you’re pretty and have a good personality/outgoing. Tri delt you also have a good shot at.

you know what if your not in a top house then shut up. a lot of those girls went into their pcs not knowing anyone.
people saying you HAVE to know people have to be a legacy have to be from one place
are just other house girls who didn't stand out during rush.

Lol I am from a top house so don’t get too offended. Don’t get mad at me because I’m speaking facts. The chances of making kappa or chi o without knowing anyone is very slim, not impossible, but very slim. So you shut up because clearly you don’t know what you’re talking about

Never said for a top house. I just want to be realistic and not get my hopes up. I’m trying NOT to get set on any one in particular. Excuse me for wanting to not be shocked when I’m cut from a house.
