can you show a little bit of respect?? it’s been one day. one day. there was no need for this, it’s unnecessary, incredibly disrespectful, and insensitive to the fraternity, and his friends and family. sae will release a statement when they are ready, until then, stop. it’s not any of your business

of course we are all saddened, but there are people on this campus and surely on this website who were close friends with him. the last thing you want to see is something like this. it’s insensitive, and sae has not released a statement yet. would you go nosying around asking sae members what happened when you know for a fact that they are hurting? don’t think so, and if your answer was yes, you have serious mental issues. nobody is on a high horse, we’re trying to be respectful here and clearly the university has some students that are absolutely classless. if you know, then you know, keep your mouth shut until sae comes out publicly and says something. if you don’t know, find out from someone who isn’t directly affiliated. go ANYWHERE but this website.

It’s not SAE’s place to say one word! Why not show some respect and let the family handle it. White privilege. They thinking about themselves and their all white sorority and fraternity sisters even when someone is dead.

I agree SAE should say something and the reason is if they don’t people will make up stories or exaggerate a situation most likely. It makes them seem like they are trying to “ cover up” any responsibility they may have in not getting this person the help they may have needed. I get it they don’t want to be kicked off campus but there may be things all houses could learn from to prevent another tragedy.

not really sure how this has anything to do with white privilege. yes it exists but he literally passed away. show some respect for him and his family/friends and stop bringing race into EVERYTHING. this generation is so freaking soft and offended by everything. sad.

The poster isn’t being disrespectful in my opinion. It could be any number of reasons and it is unusual for a kid our age to die. Get off your high horse and don’t even act like you weren’t curious. It doesn’t mean she ( or myself for that matter) isn’t saddened and feel terrible for his family and friends.
