how do i find actives to follow? like just who’s tagged/commented on the sorority insta posts? and wdym by reach out, like would a comment on an actives insta be appropriate or is that weird/stalkerish? sorry, idk a whole lot about rush/what the norms are haha

I agree but also think zeta could be an option if cute. Any of those three would be great but don’t over look adpi and KD! For pi phi and zeta ( and prob Tri Delt as well) you really need to find girls on insta and start following them. Follow all the houses then follow the girls that your interested in. If you can find uark24 in their bio that’s even better. Then find their friends and follow them ect.... it takes some time and effort but I PROMISE two things 1) only way to have a chance at top house and 2) it will pay off!!! You will find though that every house has cute, smart , fun girls. And every house has some not so cute or smart or fun girls. It really is not like that at other large southern schools. You can easily fit people into stereotypes in places like Alabama and ole miss. Much much harder to do that here. Good luck!

Oh to answer your question - it’s not weird! It will flatter them and get you noticed. A follow really is all you need but feel free to ask any questions and it gets closer to March ( so they will remember you more easily). They may or maybe not respond so ask many people. Just like in sales it’s a numbers game. The more people that know you the better. If someone doesn’t respond do NOT take it personal and it will not work against you. You can google the houses then find them find their insta. For example pi phi is arkalphapiphi which could be tricky to find! Arkansaszta, arkansastridelta..... all different so google their house and find the correct insta:)

I'm from far away as well and had everything that you have too; grades, involvement, etc. I followed girls on insta and all that jazz and I got cut from the "top 5" right away. to get into those houses you have to know people. i'm in a so called "mid-tier" house and I have never been happier. just trust the process, everything works itself out :)

You will need a Letter of Recommendation for every house, so if you don’t know an alum, google for an Panhellenic Alumni Group in your area. They will help you get Letters of Rec for the sororities you need. When I went through recruitment, I had some from people I knew, but some houses I didn’t know anyone, so I contacted the Panhellenic Alumni group and they arranged for people to send letters on my behalf. Good luck during recruitment, Greek life at the U of A is great, you’re going to love it!!
