What are the sororities like
by: ‘21I’m going to uark next fall possibly and I was wanting to know what the consensus for the sororities here. Which ones are seen as “top” why are they seen that way and which ones are well liked

Kappa has a few bad apples but overall I think the girls are sweet. They are cliquey and pretty much only take their friends from back home. In MY opinion zeta /pi phi over kappa/chi o. Chi o ....well no one likes them. Zeta and pi phi are well liked on campus.

Chi o ( honestly top house but every one I have met has been rude and looked down on me for being in a lower (mid) house.

Chi o gets a lot of hate for different reasons but have quality girls. They were founded here and are huge on legacies and girls from Little Rock.
Kappa - money and church describes them
Zeta- without connections this may be the easiest of the top houses to get Into if your cute and outgoing. Party vibe with them
Pi phi - selective house and you need a good resume to get a bid from them. More interested in excelling in school than attending every frat party.
Tri delt- very diverse girls that are smart. In my opinion best physical house and location of all the sororities.
KD- struggled a bit in the past couple of years but smart girls with leadership qualities. Great nationally
ADPI- they have been on the rise and have cute fun girls.
Phi mu- like chi o get a lot of hate on here. They have had their share of mean girls but I think they are working to improve that
AXO - great sisterhood and are involved
AOPI- good pledge class this year and have really worked hard to improve their ghostly reputation on campus
DG - the newest with an awesome new house and some quality girls

Top houses - kappa chi o, zeta & pi phi
Mid houses - tri delt KD and adpi
Lower mid - phi mu and AXO and aopi
For now lower tier DG only because they are new

AXO and PhiMu are only 4 years older than DG.
If we are to measure- that should have them pretty even. Stop saying DG is last bc they are new. They are not last. They are going strong.

This is accurate. I thought chi o would take bigger hit this year than they did. Pi phi did well but has slipped the last two pledge classes. Adpi didn’t do as well as KD and phi mu it seems

Without a doubt best description and positive about each house. I will say chi o is the one house that may deserve some negativity based on the actions of their members. They need to lose their attitude. They are no better than any other house as far as quality of girls. They are chi o’s because they are legacies or have a very close friend from high school in that house. Many other houses in fact have more of what chi o is lacking.... kappa has more class. Zeta has more looks. Pi phi has higher grades and leadership and I could go on and on .....

I think these are accurate. I am not a fan of chi o because of their choices during recruitment but because founded here and a Little Rock legacy fav will remain a top house

Kappa isn’t “unliked” like chi o and phi mu but wouldn’t describe them as well liked either. They mainly just hang with themselves.

As a Kappa myself, I literally came in knowing a handful of people. Everyone was so welcoming and always offered to be there if I needed it. There’s a sorority for everyone and maybe Kappa wasn’t it for some people, but I can’t say enough amazing things about it. Lifelong friends

Really, all the sororities have great girls. You will find where you need to be. Try not to pick a house based on a tier.
Top: Kappa and Chi O
These two have been and will continue to be top houses. Lots of legacies and girls with connections. Since they have so many members, they do have a mix of girls who are pretty, sweet, smart, and fun. Also try to get the smart ones to win the GPA award each semester. They also have girls who are snobs and look down on everyone else. I guess all houses have girls like that.
Better physical house: Kappa
Lower top: Pi Phi, Tri Delt, Zeta
Pi Phi tends to get smart and cute girls, although not always the most outgoing. Tri Delt also gets smart ones, sometimes not as cute. Zeta is a mix of really great girls (smart, pretty, nice) who you would think would go Kappa/Chi O combined with some cute/fun/outgoing pledges with terrible reputations.
Best physical house: Tri Delt
Mid: KD, Phi Mu
KD has some really sweet girls, smart too. I guess the house isn't desired overall, so they lose a lot of pmns to the top five houses.
Phi Mu has the reputation of taking the pretty girls that the top houses dropped. Many times this is because they are mean girls. I think this year's pc will be better.
Better physical house: Phi Mu
Bottom: ADPi, AOPi, AXO, DG
All somewhat the same, however, I do see ADPi moving to middle next year. They got a good pc.

This past recruitment zeta cut anyone with even a hint of a bad rep. Damage control for some questionable girls that snuck in pledge class 19.
There are tiers here at uark
Top- you need connections or just get really lucky and someone just falls in love with you during recruitment and pushes for you really hard. As long as not a grade risk this will matter more than your resume.
Mid - all mid houses are great and it will be a lot of luck involved as to where you land. Who you get paired with and if y’all vibe will determine you overall opinion of the house if you have no connections.
Lower- super unfair to have any lower tier houses but I guess it is what it is. By the end of the week if these are your options you will be paired with someone similar to you and just know you will still have a great greek experience and meet girls that you will love during pledgship.

Ok. This is the best rank description. Lots of hate for KKG and Chi-O but let’s be real. Those two have and always will be on top. Pi Phi is almost right there with them. As much as we all don’t want them to, those three will continue to get great PC. Numbers don’t lie. They have the best returns during recruitment.

Chi o and kappa -
Top because difficult to get into with chi o slipping. They have lost girls the past couple of years to not only kapppa but zeta and pi phi
Kappa great girls but cliquey that go to both church and parties
Pi phi - zeta. Lots of debate on who is better but to me are very equal but different. Pi phi is chill and doesn’t care as much about the social scene on campus. You need to have a great resume and forget about sliding in without stellar grades. Far but very pretty house. Zeta is where you land if you care about popularity and parting. Usually well liked but has received some hate for trying to self rank above pi phi. Regardless many pnm’s will pick this house over the other tops.
Tri delt is in a league of its own. The past couple of years they were slipping due to very questionable behavior of some members. KD was getting more love than them on campus. They have recovered from the drama and was first in grades last semester. I agree with previous poster that they have an awesome house on maple. Solidly in the top five now
KD ADPI and PHI MU - honeslty equal depending on what your looking for. I am in one of these houses. KD - grades and resume with an amazing new house
ADPI - refurbished house across from zeta with some fun , sweet girls
PHI MU gets the girls that wanted zeta but didn’t make the cut. Looks are above grades and reputation for this
AXO AOPI and DG - all three great houses. AOPI goes for looks, AXO goes for quality girls with sisterhood being important and DG is diverse with a great new home!

Descriptions are accurate but please do not inflate phi mu’s head. They have some pretty girls yes but no more than other house. They also have some girls that are average at best just like every other house. Phi mu seems to post their prettier girls on social media more than the other houses and try to claim they are the frat preferred house which just isn’t true.

chi o is only a top house because they were founded here, no other reason. when you take the same girls from the same place every year just because they are from Little Rock or are legacies, you end up with a very cliquey sorority... I really don't think they are all that special tbh
