What does each sororities look for in a new member?

I saw a phi mu chat and want to see how 11 houses choose their girls.

Top houses are all about connections. All want girls that are smart, pretty, involved, ect.....
chi o - not really a type. You need to know someone or your mom know someone that can get you on the list of potential new members.
Kappa- must know someone. The reason why they “ go for money” is because they have a lot of members with money and those girls get bids for their friends who are from the same area so prob have money as well.
Zeta- they get their friends in then after that being pretty with a bubbly personality can get you noticed and a possible bid without connections.
Pi Phi- connections and a stellar resume!
Tri Delt- they love their legacies. The most diverse of all the “Top five” houses and not sure what the formula is for them to get a bid .
After these connections do not matter as much although Of course is still helpful.
KD - the looks good on paper girl
ADPI - fun and sweet will get you noticed
Phi mu - grades and reputation doesn’t seem to matter as much to them. They will take girls cut from the rest for these if cute enough.
AXO - very diverse in all aspects. If you want to feel welcome no matter your background this is a great option
AOPI / DG- both houses have great girls and make cuts but diverse and don’t really have a type.

I got cut by phi mu and didn’t really understand because I had high gpa, great resume, and etc. I got accepted by houses like tri delt, KD, pi phi and rest. (I was cut by kappa, zeta, phi mu, and chi o)

If you were cut by phi mu but kept by other higher ranked houses it most likely means there was someone that didn’t like you for some reason. Or had a really good friend in another house that also cut you that said negative things about you.

interesting but I don't know anyone in phi mu. All my friends are in pi phi, KD, and tri delt (the reason why I got into those houses tbh).

I suspect you were cut from phi mu because you were a Tri delt legacy. Often times this can work against you if they suspect you also have connections in that house. Houses don’t want to keep girls if they feel very certain they will be cut in the end.

Aopi has a pretty pledge class 😍. Axo probably received their best pledge class ever. Adpi did well but didn’t “ sweep” like expected.
Seems like most top houses got the girls they wanted.
