I plan on rushing next year, but I am nervous because I am from the midwest. Would my chances of getting into a sorority be slim because I am not from the south?

Of course not!! There's plenty of girls from the north and nobody ever treats them differently!

Some of the houses are more exclusive to southern girls but I don't think it hurts your chances if you have a lot to offer.

Just don't tell us that our accents are "so weird" during rush. A PNM said that to me during recruitment 2013 and I didn't think highly of it. Don't give someone a reason to set you apart because you're from the north.
