I thought a new house was coming to campus this year. Did that not happen?

They need more than just Alpha Gam. Definitely not enough houses.

By: so what

We need Theta! They’re so strong nationally and I can’t believe we don’t have them here.

I believe they used to be on campus but they left when multiple chapters on campus closed their doors around the 70s. I’ve heard nationals said they’ll never come back.

How is Oklahoma not the south? And also, they're rising at Alabama. They're also Top at Belmont and Kentucky. Solid Middle at UF. Really don't know what y'all are on about.

For some reason Theta does not do well in the South. they closed thier chapters at Ole Miss and Clemson, even though those campuses have expanding greek systems. I think the next logical choice would be Gamma Phi Beta.

Theta’s “top” at SMU, OU&UT, and upper middle at Baylor.

Texas is its own breed of southern. Theta doesn’t do well at classic southern schools like bama and LSU. Also, OU isn’t in the south

Theta is pretty good at UGA and that’s pretty “classically southern”

Theta is very bottom at Alabama. so I agree...maybe in Texas but not in the real south.

Keep in mind a ton of girls at Arkansas are from Texas. So they maybe wouldn’t struggle as much here as they have at ole miss and Alabama.

Very true! I know a lot of desired PNMs that are Theta Legacies.

Alpha Phi would also be a great addition to Maple

Not enough northern or west coast party girls at Arkansas for APhi to have a chapter that fits the vibe of their other SEC chapters.

Ya but i feel panhellenic doesn’t want a house with that type of reputation/vibe on campus.

The most “wild house” on campus really isn’t even that wild compared to ole miss and Alabama’s

DZ presented to colonize a few years back but we’re not selected.

While DZ doesn’t have as large of a national presence like Theta does. There are several DZ chapters currently in Arkansas (UCA, ASU)

There was a rumor for a while that Arkansas and UCA’s Panhellenic had an agreement of sorts to not have any of the same sororities on campus to prevent girls from rushing at UCA and then transferring to Arkansas.

i think we could use an alpha phi chapter or even alpha xi delta those are both really popular

I wouldn't be for APhi. They don't have good national policies on recruitment.

By: No APhi
by: info

For those of y’all who don’t know, Alpha Phi recruits based solely on looks. A former exec wrote a whole thing about it. It’s a national policy. Look at any alpha phi chapter and you’ll know it’s true.
