Can’t decide between Chi O and AD Pi!
by: !!!For pref I definitely want Chi O and AD Pi, but for the life of me I can’t decide which I want. I don’t know any rumors or anything about either other than what they’re showing me; can someone give me some things they think of about these sororities? I’m not from around here so haven’t heard much about either of them. I know they’re both really different haha

If you have both on pref day then go into both with an open mind. We were told if still torn to look around you and see if you feel like you can fit in with the girls that are going into pref with since half of those would be your pledge sisters. That’s how I chose which to put on top of my bid card. I am sorry you won’t have that option:(

try your best to subtly look at the girls on the call with you maybe since you can’t see them in person because i also based mine off of who was in my party for kappa and my middle house and i preffed my middle house! i have a few friends in kappa but i’m so glad i didn’t get them on bid day lowkey i would’ve been miserable but to each their own!

Tip- I would not look at the other pnms in the call. 1) You will look like you are not paying attention to the girls rushing you; therefore, you will look uninterested. 2) You can’t talk to the other PNM and looking tells you nothing other than how pretty a PNM is. All house get beautiful girls in the end. I promise. Also, all will have some average girls. Don’t pick a chapter based on looks. Base your decision on connections, philanthropy, sisterhood, events they have. Focus on your conversation. I honestly picked my house because it was the only mid tier house I had left. I also mopped about not making a top when all of my high school friends got tops for weeks. I was miserable for months in my new house. Some girls never forgave me. Wherever you wind up, embrace it. Be happy to be there and other girls will be happy you are there with them. Hopefully I have time to salvage some relationships in my senior year.

The great thing about pref is that it is your longest convo so use it to have a deeper conversation with the girls and ask questions that will help you decide where you will fit in. The great part about pref is that it’s the most personal day. Both houses are amazing and super involved on campus. Don’t let other people opinions influence yours go where you feel comfortable and where conversation flows naturally. At the end of the day where you choose if where you will be for 4 years so make sure you truly like the sisterhood and not just the reputations of each house.

Wow. That puts this virtual thing really in perspective. That’s exactly how I chose to pref a lower house over a top house and this year they won’t have that. I am so sad for the pnms this year. How do you ever know you’re making the right decision
