heard chi o makes you sleep in coffin with dead owl?

is this true? chi o is rushing me hard and i dont want to have to do that. also heard they make you drink older members blood? this isnt twilight... what do i do?

This has been happening for years, not sure about the blood drinking but the coffin and dead owl is definitely a thing.

Not sure about the blood thing but during initiation i’ve heard that you may have to get into a coffin in order to be “reborn” as a chi omega. some chapters will get an actual coffin but others will just make you lay down on the ground.

it’s common for sororities to have some sort of death to life thing in their initiation and I know some chi o chapters do have a coffin but I don’t think the one here does

Go look at the Bama thread. The consensus was that there is a death/rebirth ritual as part of initiation and that most chapters use something other than a coffin these days (eg- a mattress) for you to lie down on and be reborn into xo. Chi O alums referred to the Myth of Demeter which makes sense since this is the xo Goddess 👍

I’ve heard the same thing, minus drinking blood. It may be worth remembering that Arkansas’ Chi O chapter is the founding chapter, so they may be more into rituals
