Question ab cuts?

Is it normal to have a full schedule for philanthropy round? Like I ended up with 8 houses all of them that I prefed besides one, and I had top tier houses. Like my gamma chi told me that I should only expect like 5 houses for philanthropy yet I ended up with 8. Plus I had no connections and like 1 letter of rec for each house, should I expect to be cut from the top houses the next round?

i was in the same boat when i went through. no connections, but i had a great week with top houses everyday. i wouldn’t worry too much.

It’s awesome you got 8 houses back! But to keep it real, it’s recruitment — anything can happen. It’s likely you will get cut by at least some of your tops next round, it happens to everyone. Stay positive and opened minded, and give it your all in every conversation. Make your decisions based on what feels right for you, not what you hear from your friends or on this site. That’s all you can do!

I am guessing if you had that many tops left without connections you did your work this summer and followed girls on insta to make yourself known. Good job to you if you did and good luck! Be cautiously optimistic as there are still two rounds of cuts to go. :)
