Why this Site is Stupid

These “rankings” are so dumb. As someone who was a gamma chi last year, I can tell you that people pref “lower” houses over “top” houses ALL. THE. TIME. It’s about where you fit in, not which house some random people on Greek rank decided was “top”. Please keep that in mind! My friends that prefed a house just because it was “top” regret it so much. Choose where you belong!!!

No truer words ever spoken. All the houses here are so much more alike than they are different. I am one who prefed a lower house over the top house. As I stood waiting to go in with all the other PNMs it hit me like a ton of bricks!! I’m not sure these are my people!! Went for middle tier house. Never looked back. It was totally my right decision

I also cut a top house the night before pref because had another top house and lower house I Loved. It would have been difficult if the top house I had left didn’t give me a bid though. Having gone through recruitment I will say it’s RARE a girl will say turn down kappa for adpi or whoever ( love adpi and to be honest I would fit in more with them than kappa). I am curious if this recruitment will change things without all the hub bub of the other girls around talking about their fav top house??? It’s ONLY during recruitment when it’s easier to be in a top house in my opinion.

Thank you for this info. I’ve struggled with understanding how I’m supposed to feel about all the houses. This honestly makes me feel so much better and less stressed!!!

Best advice - follow your heart! Don’t choose the path others want you to take, don’t follow your friends, and absolutely don’t choose a house based on the biases of this site. Make your own choices. Listen to your gut and you’ll end up exactly where you’re meant to be.

Prefed a “lower” house and never looked back! I am so happy where I am and glad I didn’t pref the “top” house where I didn’t fit in
