What will virtual rush be like?

by: Help

I was already nervous for the process and I think virtual will make it even worse. How will we get a feel for the houses without being in them?

We don’t really know to be honest. This is brand new to all of us and we all feel for how different your experience will be. In some ways it will be way better and less stressful but it’s sad y’all can’t be inside all houses atleast once to feel the different vibes. I suggest seeking out different people on campus to ask their opinion. Someone that’s not Greek, a frat boy, a couple of girls from different houses, ect ... you can also read up on here for a very general idea of the houses. Instagram is the least reliable as most houses ( actually top houses do this less than lower ranked houses) put their prettiest on their paige. Instagram can be smoke and mirrors.

I wouldnt base it off instagram either. @well is correct that lower houses tend to put prettier girls on their instagram in order to look better, while top houses post whatever they want.

It will definitely be harder for you to get a feel for everyone if you cant really see everyone until Sisterhood. But to be perfectly honest, you as a PNM don't have much say-so in which houses you are visiting anyway. 80% or more of the cuts or releases that happen in the 1st two rounds is led by the sororities choice. The mutual selection process swings more to the PNMs when deciding from 5 houses at Sisterhood to Pref and in ranking your 2 Pref chapters.

And we are already holding mock virtual parties behind the scenes to make this as fun, easy and normal as we can. This is our favorite week of the year and cannot wait to meet you whether online or in person.
