Thoughts from some pnm’s!

Just found this site! I have only a couple of loose connections so not sure how my recruitment will go. This is what my two friends and I think of sororities here based on what we have heard and now based on what we have all read on this site.
Chi o- not liked at all. Besides being founded here and having good traditions not sure why anyone would want to pledge.
Kappa - exclusive but nice bible loving girls that have money
Zeta- top house now more because chi o and pi phi have fallen. Reputation of having popular , pretty girls but can be a bit on the wild side.
Pi phi - no one has anything bad to say about pi phi ever. Smart girls that don’t get out as much as other houses.
Tri Delt- fun top five house with all different types of girls because they do like their legacies. Gorgeous house maybe on the best on maple.
Here is where it gets very confusing!
I guess these three are equal so will put in alphabetical order?
Adpi - cute, sweet girls that rose because of pulling a good pledge class without a house last year.
KD - hard to get a read on them. I suppose smart girls with a new house that was expected to do better in recruitment than they did last year??
Phi Mu - controversial house that get a lot of hate on here. Girls seem like pretty partiers that can be mean but are working on losing that rep.
AXO - strong sisterhood but not on the level of the middle six for some reason. Unclear why?
AOPI- considered lower tier but have some pretty and involved girls.
DG- good girls trying to work their way up from the bottom through hard work and developing a strong sisterhood. Loved their house with the anchor on my college visit.
So curious if other pnm’s agree with this!!

I am also a pnm’s and this is exactly what I think. No top house connections so not getting any hopes up for those. Very very sad I won’t be able to go inside all the houses. Even if they cut me I would still have liked to go inside and see the house and the girls. I also don’t really have a feel for KD or AXO and am very interested in both!

How do you think that happened for you? I thought grades were an automatic cut? Are you a legacy? Did you just click with who you talked to? Curious how you think you got that bid based on what I have read here. Thank you and any tips would be appreciated. Ha ha

Hi! Im the one that got in. No, no connections, didnt even have anyone in the house from my hometown. I had a 3.38, and they cut automatically at 3.4. I clicked super well with the girl i was talking to in the house. I got cut by the other houses first round, but i worked really hard with the house i had. Each year, every sorority takes girls with no connections, even grade risks. Be that person, make a great bond with the active you talk to

I think luck played a huge role in “hi” getting in as a grade risk without connections to a top house. I promise the girl talking to her that day knew she wasn’t on list and would be cut if she didn’t scream her name over and over to the important people ( exec and recruitment teams) in order for her to be given a second look. I hope hi has thanked the girl she talked to day one or she most certainly would have been cut. It was extremely lucky she got paired with that person that cared enough to do that for her.

I am lucky they gave me a chance, i had connections for other houses that arent at arkansas, like dz and gamma phi. Im glad the girl i paired with at tri delt helped me in!! Im forever grateful and want to do the same to a pnm or two this year

Girls don’t give out too much personal info on here please. Especially is you have strong opinions This pnm did not but others have!

Don’t let what you see/hear on Greek rank change your opinion in any way! Most people on here choose to hate on other sororities instead of #panlove. All of the houses are filled with great girls and the only way to find which houses you really like are to actually talk to them. Do not judge them before you go in bc it could end badly. Treat all houses with respect even if it’s not your top choice. Good luck with recruitment!!

I am going through recruitment this year and based on a few people I know at uark this year this seems pretty accurate. I am super excited for recruitment and can’t wait to meet the girls I have been stalking on insta! 😂

I can’t wait to meet these girls I have been stalking on insta either. I have built them up to almost celebrity status and think it will be surreal if I actually get to talk to some of them. Lol
Keeping an open mind! I am following great girls from all houses. I don’t have any connections so I am curious to see who will invite me back!

I feel like this isn’t a bad haha. Chi o is going to keep falling. kd/adpi are just kind of lumped together for 6th in my opinion. They just have different vibes. Axo is a great house, but they’re just kind of there, not in a bad way. For phi mu, none of the girls I’ve met have been mean (but it also depends on who you meet). Dg is good, they’re just at the bottom because they’re newer. Aopi is at the bottom because they’re pretty lowkey.

How are KD and ADPI different? Just curious because I am not sure I will have a feel for these two houses if it’s only on zoom. Super similar or totally different vibe? Thank you!

Hi! Adpi and kd are two amazing sororities here. Adpi tends to get that sweet adorable girl next door type. They are all bubbly and hyper and love to party. Kds stick more with grades. There are a few kds who do go out but for the most part they stay in. The two recruit very opposite girls but both amazing!!!!

You dont always need a connection! I am in a top house with zero connections, and also was a gpa risk!! If you click with the girls, you can do it!!
