Chances of not receiving a bid?
by: JJWith 1533 girls going through recruitment, what is the chance of not getting a bid on Bid Day?

There is always a chance of not ending up getting a bid, it happens to girls every year which is sad and not at all how the process should work but that's just how it is. For active members to tell PNMS that their chances of not getting a bid is close to zero, then that is just giving them false hope. Do your best to be yourself and keep an open mind! Recruitment does NOT define you!!!!

Last year there were 1,349 bids given out. I’ve seen different registered totals - 1,490 or 1,470. Regardless, that’s over 90% that received a bid!!!
Keep an open mind, give every single house an honest chance and most importantly, follow your heart!! Good luck pnms!!! We are so excited and ready for you!

PNM’s please don’t stress about this. 90% of all girls participating will get bids. Out of the 10% that don’t get bids, 90% of those voluntarily dropped out because they were not open minded to the houses that wanted them and invited them to parties. Be positive about the houses that are interested in you and give them all an honest open minded chance! Attitude is everything & will come across whether you are in person or virtual.

A lot of the times of a girl doesnt receive a bid either she was black listed /bad reputation or she was disappointed in what choices she had left and dropped or dropped bc she realized Greek life may not be for her!! If you stick with it and just try to keep an open mind you will have a great chance of ending up with a bid on bid day!!!

The chances of being completely cut ARE close to zero. Arkansas does a great job of recruitment and wins national Panhellenic awards because of it. False hope...? Some people act like Arkansas recruitment is a gauntlet. Yes, a TINY amount of girls will be completely cut. Probably only extreme grade or reputation risks. There’s always spring. Yes, some girls fall in love with top houses and are disappointed. It’s been reiterated over and over again how girls will be crushed when top houses cut them, they might get cut, might get their second choice, etc etc. Just chill and let them experience it...lots of girls now are way more open minded than previous girls. They get it.
