Legacy and Greek houses

Are there certain house that if you don’t have legacy for they won’t allow you to be a member?

What?? No Ofcourse not. Legacy status is meaning less and less than days and most girls in ALL sororities are not legacies. Except for maybe chi o. But even then plenty arent legacies

Most Chi O’s, Pi Phi’s, and Kappa’s are legacies. Tri Delta also likes their legacies. KD and Zeta like connections. AXO, ADPi, AOii, Phi Mu, DG are the easiest to get a bid to without being a legacy.

I am in one of those mentioned and I would not say MOST. Truth is the past couple of years it’s been about half of our pledge class.

I wish all houses rush the way Zeta seems too. They don’t rely on legacy status or super close connections. They actually seem to give more girls a chance and base it on personality and who they click with during recruitment! Isn’t that what recruitment is for?? Just because girls have legacy status cuz their moms pledged that sorority years ago at all different schools doesn’t mean their daughters will click!

i am also one of the top houses mentioned and maybe 1/3 or even 1/4 is legacies. all it does is gets u to the second day. just cuz u r a legacy doesn’t mean u r guaranteed a bid
