Best for out-of-stater pnms?

I'm looking to rush as an out-of-stater. Not a legacy, average/slightly above average looks, 3.9, etc.
What house should I rush srysly? I'm assuming the top tier chapters are not really worth considering. I don't really care tbh; I'd just like to be in one that value the normal sorority things. thanks

Agree with what truth said. I think with your gpa Ect... you will have plenty of good options. Don’t stress. You sound amazing and there are so many good houses here. KD sounds like an awesome choice for you as well as Tri Delt and AXO. 😋

I’d say it also depends on if you have connections, but if you aren’t considering top houses I wouldn’t worry too much about them (it’s not impossible to get a bid without connections though). Since you mentioned that you’d like to be in one that values normal sorority things, I’d suggest seriously looking into axo, adpi, tri delt, and kd!

Not sure where you've been, but pnms have A LOT more choice in the process nowadays. Some are basically courted w/ dirty rushing; they may have to turn down offers. Someone like the above with no legacy or connections may not have that option, but it doesn't mean pnms don't have a say.

Are you an active or pnm?
Dirty rushing is what it is. I wouldn’t count on anything being promised.
Pre promised bids may work out for 5% of PNMs. Even then- things happen. There are a lot of eyes and ears going during recruitment.

Even if dirty rushing/prior connections fail to secure a bid, there's still negotiating power on the side of pnms. They can scope out who they like, "talk" with actives, and advertise themselves prior to rushing. Not how it used to be where they basically showed up and were auctioned off.

"Auctioned off"? Never heard it said like that. Not sure we want GL being seen as a plantation.
