Fall Rush Worth it?

Hi! I personally believe that although there will be lesser occasions, its worth it. If you rush in the spring, some “top” houses will not even be available. And then if u wait until sophomore year, your numbers are cut even lower. Sororities at arkansas include philanthropy events, sisterhood events, formals, etc, but you also meet many friends just like you. I think there will still be philanthropy events and sisterhood events, just without the formals (which pc 19 didnt even get to have but it was still worth it). Sororities are also used for connections and leadership opportunities. Overall, if youd like to join a sorority, rush! We are trying our hardest to make social distancing work when it comes to pc 20 and we are working to do everything right! If you choose to rush, i hope you have an amazing time and get the house you love.

If you want to be in a sorority then I would go through recruitment now. In the spring you will have way less options and to me it’s not that much fun to have a pledge class of less than ten girls. We all will be paying money for a very different experience this year. I still think it’s better than not rushing at all. If I had to pay for the dues myself than I could possibly have to put more thought into it though , so anyone in that position I totally understand waiting.
