It’s true, check #BlackAtUark on twitter, the woman who received the email posted a screenshot of it (can’t link posts on GR and don’t want her to receive backlash here by posting her @)

I am not saying this is okay, but just for clarification, the email said that the Tri Delt was working for a casting company that was casting for a civil war period movie that was going to film in NWA. It had nothing to do with Tri Delt as an organization.

While I agree that this inherently didn’t involve Tri Delt, she unfortunately associated them with it by throwing in that she’s a Tri Delt. Honestly I’ve read the email multiple times and can’t figure out why she even included that information as the agency doesn’t have anything to do with them. The poster didn’t mention what organization she emailed to, so maybe one of the NPHCs so she assumed a Greek connection is good? It’s unfortunate for Tri Delt to have her as a member

I think it is important to note that the girl who sent the email is an alumnae and not an active member. It is unfortunate at the time that she used her position as a Tri Delta to send this email to other orgs, but it does reflect on the change needed within the whole greek system. (Which btw this was reported to the university when it happened but no real changes were made, uark pls do better!)

stupid and horrible email, but I am pretty sure Greek Life / Tri Delta / etc took action immediately when it happened and she was given consequences for her actions (and as stated above she is an alumni so there is nothing else they can do).
