rushing as a sophomore

I'm seriously regretting not going through recruitment. Greek life isn't really a huge thing on the west coast (where I'm from), so I suppose I just didn't really get it before coming here. Now I really really regret my decision. Do many (or any) of the sororities ever take sophomores? Any advice?

YES! Absolutely! Every sorority but Zeta takes PLENTY of sophomores every year! Remember to keep your GPA up this year though. Good luck!

Not exactly true. You have to be pretty outstanding to rush as a sophomore. It's not just ZTA. Most of the sororities put freshmen above sophomores. It's BS, but that's how it is. (Kappa starts cutting girls in the summer before official recruitment even begins based on what they hear about them from girls in HS. It's bringing their house down as they're going on gossip and end up with the totally wrong girls.) But why wait until you're a sophomore. Rush in the spring!
